Having started using felt tips and crayons as a child and anything else that could make a mark [all over the walls sometimes:) I was discovering the rapture of art. Later in my teenage years I embraced oils and I also experimented with acrylics for a time while developing my style. Then the commercial landscape changed forever with the advent of computers and with much consideration I moved away from traditional media for many years pursuing a career in digital SF, Fantasy and Horror paperback illustration [over 25 years] Now after many moons have gone by I have come full circle. I am re-kindling old passions with my once-lost medium of oils. To feel again the splash of the loaded brush, the scrape of the knife and the layers of linseed infused inspiration. I am embarking on a richly chromatic tinted journey through the lens of abstract and expressive figurative art. The Liberation to freely explore shape, colour, form and returning to my roots of the ultimate artist there is, nature, to create something visually authentic and deliciously sumptuous while also inviting the viewer to free fall into an ocean of kaleidoscopic splendour.
